SUCCESSFUL IN NORTH

S.L Friesian Cattle South Island breeders did extremely well in the second all New Zealand Friesian invitation sale held recently at Hamilton. The Pfizer trophy, valued at 200 ginueas, for the champion female in the show classes went to Elmwood Chief Hannah, a rising three-year-old heifer from N. N. Mason, of Okainj, Bay. It was subsequently purchased for 350gns. The top price of the sale went to R. G. Mclntosh, of Prebbleton, with Riverbrae P.A. Pru, born on February 24, 1964. It was second to the Okains Bay champion in the class for three-year-eld heifers. The Mclntosh heifer sold for 400gns. A rising five-year-oM, Riversley C.R. Doris H.C., from Fiecken Brothers, of Tai Tapu, won the cow class. It was sold for 210gns.
