Bid For Top Players
fN.Z. Press Association' WELLINGTON. In perhaps its most ambitious bid yet to gain overseas players, the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association will invite representaitves of seven countries to New Zealand next summer. A meeting of the association’s committee last night decided to Invite Russia, the United States. France, India, England, Brazil, and Australia to send players to sponsored tournaments in Auckland and Wellington in early February. All of these countries will be represented at the Australian championships at the end of January.
