CHILDREN MISSING

Search Last Night A search by police, police dogs, parents and neighbours was made last evening for four boys, aged from 5} to 11, missing from three homes in Aranui. No trace of the children had been found late last night. They were last seen near the Cowles Stadium. The search area, from Wainoni to Bromley, contains large plantations and large areas of open, scrub-covered land. The missing children are: Richard Watts, aged 6, fairhair, and wearing a red tartan shirt and blue jeans; Malcolm Lees, aged 10}, fair hair, brown eyes, wearing a grey school uniform; John Lees, aged s}, fair hair, blue eyes; and Bruce Forbes, aged 11, fair hair, of slim build, wearing blue jeans and a blue cardigan. The children probably have a Labrador dog with them. No anxiety was felt about the children until they did not come home for tea. The police were not called until after dark.
