The Monigatti sisters, Margaret, Diane and Lynne, of the Manurewa club, won their sections by wide margins at the Auckland harrier championships at Cornwall Park on Saturday. In the junior women’s race. Margaret had topped the first big hill before her nearest rival was much more than half-way up. She won brilliantly by such a distance that it earned her selection in the senior women’s representative team! for the national championship race at New Plymouth! in August. Lynne won the sub-junior event, and Diane took the harrierettes’ championship.
