Mount Kenya Climbed

NAIROBI, July 10. A Japanese expedition has conquered the 17,040 ft Mount Kenya, one of Africa’s toughest mountaineering challenges, it has been learned in Nairobi.

A member of a Japanese mountain-climbing good-will mission to Africa said that two members of the expedition reached the snow-capped summit of the mountain last Tuesday night.
