Deportation of Indian

Sir,—New Zealand’s strict immigration regulations have separated a husband and wife. This man was a good worker, respected by his employer, who is willing to go to great lengths to get him back. This country is short of good workers and skilled tradesmen and we are forced to rely on immigrants to get us out of our difficulties. Yet here is a man deported at the taxpayers’ expense because of Government red tape. For the sake of our self-respect and in the name of humanity, let this good Christian worker come back to rejoin his young wife without further delay.—Yours, etc.,
