INQUIRY BY MINISTER

Simulator For Air N.Z. (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 8. The Minister of Civil Aviation (Mr McAlpine) said in Parliament today that he had discussed the question of a training simulator for Air New Zealand with the United Airline officials at present visiting New Zealand. ' He had also raised the question with the chairman of the board of Air New Zealand (Mr G. N. Roberts), said Mr McAlpine. A small number of auxiliary police may be trained for crowd control in the event of another “unfortunate tragedy,” he said. “There has been a meeting of the requisite authorities at Auckland in order to investigate the whole question,” he said. “If, as a result, there is a need to further examination, it will be carried out.” Mr McAlpine was replying to Mr N. J. King (Opp., Waitemata).
