Warning On Cigarettes
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 8. Cigarette packets in New Zealand would bear a warning that smoking was dangerous to health if the Department of Health decided to follow United States practice, the Minister of Health (Mr McKay) said in Parliament today. Replying to Mr J. G. Edwards (Opp., Napier), Mr McKay said the department was considering this and other measures to draw public attention to the harmful effects of smoking.
