Creditors’ Meeting
For the last two years he had left his affairs in the hands of an accountant to form a creditors’ pool to “straighten things out,” but when he had inquired he found he was deeper in debt than ever before, John Chester Paisley, a car-painter, of 10 Wise street, said in a statement presentfid at a meeting of his creditors yesterday before the Official Assignee, Mr T. A. F. Withers. The bankrupt’s statement of affairs showed unsecured creditors were owed £1551 Is sd, and his assets were £73. leaving a total deficiency of £1478 Is sd. Paisley said that his connexion with the accountant ended in March. He offered £2 a week towards paying off his creditors.
