Building Work Increases
Building permits issued by the Christchurch City Council last month were valued at £724,783, compared with permits worth £500,647 for June, 1965. In the period since April 1, permits for work worth £1.930.930 were issued, compared with £1.598.012 for the three months last year. Permits for 26 buildings other than houses or flats were issued last month, the value being £207,539. Fiftysix house permits, worth £200,696 and permits for 46 flat units, worth £lOl,lOl, were also issued.
