SMITHFIELD MARKET
Prices Slightly Loiver (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 8. There was slow trading for all commodities on London’s Smithfield market throughout this week. Reduced pitchlngs of New Zealand lamb sold at slightly lower prices, the New Zealand Meat Producers Board market information service reported. The main grade (29/361b) was a farthing down on last week. Light supplies of New Zealand mutton cleared steadily at nominal prices. The main grade of wethers (49/561b) was quoted at 18d to 19d per lb. All other grades were not quoted. New Zealand beef was not quoted.
