GN'.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The decision to reject the nominations of Mrs H. Thayer and 1. Johnstone for the Corimonwealth Games team has been confirmed at a special meeting of a N.Z.0.8.E.G.A. sub-commit-tee and the three-man selection panel, Messrs C. L. S. Cross (chairman), P. N. Robinson an’ C. R. Moore. Mr Cross said yesterday that the decision was made after all factors had been considered. “Selection for the Games team will not be reopened,” he saio. In the case of Mrs Thayer there had been special consideration of the time she had been away from New Zealand. Mrs Thayer, a former Auckland athlete, has lived in the United States for about six years.
