Girls Swam To Escape
Three girls who absconded from the Kingslea training centre, Shirley, were seen later by members of the staff near the rowing clubs’ buildings at Kerr’s reach. The girls dived into the river and swam across it to evade the staff members. They had not been found late last night Any person knowing their whereabouts is asked to get in touch with the Christchurch Central police station.
