Paremoremo Delay

(N.Z. Press Association)

WELLINGTON, July 8.

Prompt completion of Paremoremo maximum security prison—and two others in construction—was imperative because of rising prison musters, the Minister of Justice (Mr Hanan) said today. But the date for completion at Paremoremo had been put back just over two months because of time lost on redesign of the foundations at the beginning of this year and delays caused by the weather. The completion date was now June 4, 1968. he said. The original date was March 31, 1968.
