Break For House

(N.Z. Press Association)

TAURANGA, July 8. Parliament will have a weeklong recess later this month. The recess will begin after the House rises on Friday, July 15, and end on Tuesday, July 26. The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) said he was satisfied there would be sufficient work during that time for the main select committees including the Statutes Revision, Local Bills, Public Expenditure and Road Safety Committees.

The recess will coincide with the National Party convention, which will open in Wellington on July 23.
