Delayed Choice Of Candidate
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 28. The Labour Party was| unable to agree last night on the choice of a candidate to contest the Remuera seat in this year’s General Election. The position was under consideration by the party’s head office in Wellington today. The president of the Auckland Labour Representation Committee, Mr D. Isbey, said the national president of the party, Mr N. V. Douglas, would make a statement later this week. The four men seeking endorsement were: Messrs V. Simmonds. G. Caldwell, T. Holman and W. Nairn.
