No Trace Of Child

(N Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 28. In spite of a police Inquiry lasting nearly two years, no trace has been found of Betty Wharton, a Maori child who was last seen in Hamilton in July, 1964. “The inquiry is still going on.” said Detective Senior-Sergeant J. G. Long, of Hamilton, today. "The file is not closed.” The child, a daughter of Mr and Mrs E. Wharton. was three years and a half when she disappeared.
