B.H.P. Workers In Favour (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, June 27. A mass meeting of mining j unionists at Broken Hill yesterday agreed to accept a new retirement scheme which would give lump sum benefits on retirement or death ranging up to 20,000 dollars. The scheme was put forward by the Mining Managers’ Association, which 'represents the four Broken Hill mines, on May 3. It calls, for the setting up of a fund which would provide lump sum benefits starting at a minimum of 1500 dollars. About 4000 men will benefit from the new scheme. It will be financed equally by the miners and the employers.
