‘Come To Terms’
(N.Z. P. A. -Reuter—Copyright) SAIGON, June 28. The aged patriarch of South Vietnam’s Unified Buddhist Church, Thich Tinh Khiet, today urged his senior monks to come to terms with the Government. He also told the militant leader Thich Tri Quang to end his 19-day hunger strike. The summons came in a letter brought by hand from the pagoda in Hue where the patriarch, a highly-respected figure, lives. He is more than 80 and rarely takes any part in his church’s public affairs.
