Tenders Lapsed

(N.Z. Press Association' AUCKLAND, June 27. I Otara is the only practicable site for a gas-tur-bine power station at Auckland, says a special report by Ministry of Works and New Zealand Electricity Department | engineers.

The report says tenders were called with the object of having one turbine ready for use by the winter of 1967. However, the validity of these tenders had lapsed and new tenders Mould probably have to be called. The engineers had decided that it would now be impossible to have the first gas-turbine station in senice for the 1967 winter.
