The chairman of the Opposition Labour Party, Mr Lim Kean Slew, has advised the public to avoid places frequented by American troops vacationing in Penang. “We fear that certain elements may take advantage of the hostile feelings against the Americans and create unhappy incidents which may involve innocent people,” he said at the party’s anniversary celebrations yesterday.
