Jazy Fails In Record Attempt
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) SOCHAUX (France). Michel Jazy. the French holder of the world mile record, failed on Saturday in an attempt on the Australian Herb Elliott’s six-year-old world 1500 metres record. The French runner clocked 3min 36.35ec to equal his own European 1500 metres record, which he set last week.
He was again seven-tenths of a second outside Elliott’s world time of 3mln 35.65ec.
