German Rider In Lead (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright? CAEN (France). The German, Rudi Altig, retains the over-all leadership of the Tour de France after five stages of the cycle race. In the general classification. Altig remains 36sec ahead of his nearest rivals and 47sec ahead of the co-favourites, Jacques Anquetil and Raymond Poulidor, of France. The fifth stage of the race on Saturday was won by Franco Botossi, of Italy. The other placings were: Edouard Seis (Belgium) 2, Willy Planckaert (Belgium) 3, Guido Reybroeck (Belgium) 4. Gerben Karstens (Holland) S, Rik van Looy (Belgium) 6.
