General Vargas To Visit N.Z.
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 26. The Secretary-General of 5.E.A.T.0., Lieutenant General Jesus Vargas, of the Philippines, will visit New Zealand as a guest of the Government from July 10 to 17. General Vargas will have talks with ministers, senior defence officials and military leaders. He is expected to visit an agricultural college and see some aspects of New Zealand’s industrial development.
Hurt In Fall.—A woman and her baby suffered minor injuries when the mother fell while leaving a bus outside 419 Colombo street about 12.20 p.m. on Thursday. She is Mrs R. C. Morrison, of 20 Baretta street.
