Important N.Z. Talks The last year had been noticeable in that the Canterbury Youth Council had had the opportunity to be represented at a national level in several discussions which were expected to have farreaching effects on present and future developments in youth work, said the chairman of the Canterbury Youth Council (Mr M. Thoms) in his second annual report Another aspect had been the degree of contact with the councils in Otago and Wellington, Mr Thoms said. Discussions in leadership training had been held with representatives of the Federated Mountain Clubs, the Teachers’ Training College and the Mountain Safety Committee with a view to conducting a training course covering all aspects of bush work.
