Applicants for appointment in the Department of PAEDIATRICS should hold post-graduate qualifications in medicine and have had considerable experience in clinical paediatrics. Teaching and research experience is desirable. There are excellent facilities for research, particularly in neo natal paediatrics. The appointment is full time and duties will include research and teaching as well as clinical care of patients. Applicants for appointment in the Department of OBSTETRICS and GYNAECOLOGY should hold either an M.R.C.0.G., and M.D., or Ph D. Teaching and research experience is desirable. The research interests of the Department lie in the field of Applied Foetal Physiology and Maternal Uterine and Cardiovascular Physiology. The Department is responsible for the clinical care of approximately 1000 patients delivered each year at the Queen Victoria Hospital and also for 15 Gynaecological beds.
