PROTEST AT AMERICANS
(N Z . P.A .-Reuter—Copyright) PENANG (North Malaya), June 24. Tear-gas drifted across this holiday island today as steelhelmeted police broke up marching demonstrators who were protesting against the presence of American troops here on rest and recreation from Vietnam.
The 57 Americans, who had been at Penang since last Sunday, left earlier today from the Royal Australian Air Force base at Butterworth for Saigon.
