MORE GOLF CLUBS GO

A Hawke’s Bay golf bag suatcher has struck again.

MrR. F. Mackie, manager of the New Zealand golf team for the Eisen- ! hower Trophy event in Mexico in October, is the latest victim.

Mr Mackie, of Waipukurau, reported the theft of his highly-prized set of golf clubs to the police. He said they were taken from his home. He has been a member of the

New Zealand Golf Council for 10 years.

His loss is the third theft from Hawke’s Bay golfers within a few days. At Dannevirke on Saturday night, a full set of clubs was stolen from the car of one of New Zealand’s leading golfers, S. G. Jones, of Hastings. At the Waipukurau golf course on Saturday night 120 golf clubs worth more than £7OO were stolen from the members’ locker room.
