More Help For Maori Mission
(N.Z. Press Association)
HAMILTON, June 23. The Maori people of the Diocese of Waikato gave twice as much to the church as the average pakeha family, said the Rev. F. W. Cook, of New Plymouth, in the Maori Mission Committee’s report to the Waikato Synod. But the workers of the Maori Mission had to work under conditions that no others would accept, he said. The Synod approved a 25 per cent increase in the Maori Mission's quota, to £5926.
