Mr H. Meachen, general manager of the Wellington Harbour Board, will retire at the end of this year. The assistant general manager, Mr R. R. Reeves, will take over Mr Meachen’s position. Mr Reeves has been employed by the board for 18 years. Mr Meachen began work for the board in 1920 and became general manager in 1957.
