U.K. Doctors On TV

(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright)

LONDON, June 23.

Two doctors will admit to mercy killings of some of their patients next week when they appear in a television programme in Britain. In the same 8.8. C. programme, a man who is helplessly confined to a wheelchair, will confess that he once tried to commit suicide. The doctors will not be named, but will speak straight into the camera and will be recognised by their patients. One of them will confess to two mercy killings. The other, a woman, will tell of occasions in a maternity ward when she allowed grossly deformed children to die. The would-be-suicide, a 46-year-old former Air Force pilot, will recount how a few years ago he tried to commit suicide by suffocating himself with a plastic bag.
