Security
Sir,—Being a teacher, 1 have a duty to help those I teach to develop a balanced view of world events. As an aid to this 1 take publications from six overseas countries and belong to a number of groups which are addressed by people who have visited other lands, but the security service considers that some organisations, not named, are a potential danger to New Zealand. I do not consider this to be right, so am writing to the security people to ask for the names of the suspected organisations and the reasons for their being suspect. With some 18.000 security investigations being made yearly it is time a few more loyal but open-minded people asked similar questions.—Yours, etc. EX-SERVICEMAN. June 22, 1966.
