Bright Young Men Needed

(N.Z. Press Association)

PALMERSTON NORTH, June 21.

A plea for “bright young men” to join the ranks of New Zealand’s farm advisers and agricultural scientists, was made by Professor A. L. Rae, chairman of a Massey sheepfarmers’ meeting this morning.

Professor Rae told the farmers they should urge every bright young man of their acquaintance to the vital and rewarding future offered by agricultural science. The three-day meeting will hear 17 papers on sheep and wool handling, controlled breeding, disease control, high stocking rates and management, beef production experiments, and the finance, transport and tax problems of the farmer.
