Television Set Stolen
A house in the city area was entered at the end of; April and a television set valued at £BO taken, it was re-1 ported to the police yesterday. The theft of a full case of cosmetics valued at £45 from a hall in Christchurch between 4.30 p.m. on Tuesday and 9 a.m. yesterday was also reported.
Sugar Talks.— Sugar experts started three days of talks in London yesterday with hopes that they would be able to prepare the ground for the first international sugar agreement for five years.—London, June 21.
