Theft Target In Auckland (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 22. Burglars have stolen a large number of electric blankets from Auckland firms in recent weeks. The largest of the thefts occurred on Monday night when intruders broke into the premises of Electrahome Appliances. Ltd., Ellerslie, and stole 65 electric blankets worth about £950.
The managing-director of the firm. Mr J. L. G. Greshan, said today that 20 of the blankets belonged to customers and had just been serviced.
Thieves broke into the premises of Wiseman’s Sports Stores, Otara, on Monday night for the third time In the five weeks the store has been open. They took £550 worth of property—including five electric blankets and five television sets.
