100 Rugby Points
Any one of three players could complete his 100 points for the season in the eleventh round of senior Rugby matches on Saturday. G. J. Waterreus (Christchurch), J. Keoghan (Lincoln College) and D. P. Gaffikin (University B) have all scored more than 80 points in senior matches so far and one of them may complete the 100 in the month of June, something which has been accomplished only rarely in the past. With 85 points, Waterreus heads the list and, unlike Keoghan and Gaffikin, he has not played in all 10 matches so far. Keoghan has 82 and Gaffikin 81. The leading points scorers are. Waterreus 85, Keo-
ghan 82, Gaffikin 81, K. Nicholas (Suburbs) 69, B. Richards (Shirley) 64, D. C. Leary (University A) 63, A. C. Harrison (Albion) 61, G. Stanley (New Brighton) 59, P. Jellyman (Linwood) 50, M. J. Millar (Old Boys) 46, R. Inwood (Belfast) 42, W. F. McCormick (Linwood) 41, A. Dunlop (Sydenham) 40. Although he has missed the last few matches, W. M. Birtwistle (Christchurch) is still the leading try-scorer in senior Rugby this season. The leading try-scorers are.—Birtwistle eight, R. J. Phelan (Albion) seven, A. G. Steel (Old Boys) six, D. Tindill (Christchurch) six, R. Colombus (Old Boys) six.
