Five Injured On Roads
The six occupants of a car which overturned at Templeton about 9.30. a.m. on Monday, escaped serious injury.
Five are members of the one family. Jack Jones, of 25 Todd avenue, and Pauline Mary Jones were treated at Christchurch Hospital for minor head Injuries. Bernadine Mary Jones, Susan Moira Jones, and John Michael Jones were uninjured. The other passenger, Lambertus Doonerwind, of 7 Taylors avenue, was treated for a slight injury to the left hand. \ When a motor-scooter and a bicycle collided at the corner of Wairakei and Jeffreys roads about 4.15 p.m., Miss J. A. Spooner, of 385 Wairakei road, suffered lacerations to the left leg. She was treated at the Christchurch Hospital. Elizabeth Frances O’Connor, of 46 Truman road, was also treated- for minor leg injuries after the power-cycle she was riding was involved in a collision with a car in Papanui road, outside St. George’s Hospital, about 4.10 p.m. -
