Papanui House Brings £8O50

A house on a section of one rood 15 perches at 222 Papanui road, Papanui, was sold for £BO5O at public auction yesterday. The properly was offered by Sherris and Wilson, Ltd., in conjunction with Baker Bros., Ltd. The auctioneer was Mr C. Robertson.

The house has a lounge, diningroom, breakfastroom and four bedrooms. The initial bid was £4500. There were six blds of £5OO, two of £lOO, and seven of £5O. The Government valuation is £3BOO, and the rates are £73 15s sd. A house at 187 Wilsons road, St. Martins, has been sold by private treaty by Smiths City Market, Ltd. The property was passed in when offered at auction on Friday.
