WESTLAND KING

Time Trial Today Given reasonably warm conditions, Westland King is expected to create a mile record for two-yearold trotters at Addington Raceway about 12.30 p.m. today. Arrangements for the time trial have been completed by the Trotting Conference. The record of 2min 7 4-5 sec is held by Delvin Dancer, rated as the greatest juvenile trotter seen in Australia. Delvin Dancer has taken all before him as a three-year-old this season and at present is sought by American interests. Westland King, the holder of the New Zealand record of 2min 12 l-ssec, will receive £290 given by the three Christchurch trotting clubs, if he creates a record. Westland King will be driven by his trainer, J. D. Lltten, and have the assistance of a galloping pacemaker. ♦
