Lectures For Art Teachers

(N.Z. Preta Astociation) AUCKLAND, June 20. Twenty-seven South Island secondary school art teachers today began a week’s course, arranged by the Education Department, on art activity at various stages in schools. The course director is Miss N. Simpson, a South Island secondary school inspector. The lecturers included Professor J. Simpson, of Canterbury University, Mr W. Barrett, the national adviser to the Education Department on art and crafts, Mr J. Coe, head of the design school at the Wellington Polytechnic, and art lecturers from several universities.
