(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 20. New Zealand soldiers taking part in the first jungle training exercises in Fiji later this month will attempt narrow river crossings with inflated trousers.
An Army officer said the men would use ordinary trousers with the legs knotted at the ankles. They would dip the top end into the water, trapping air in the legs, and hold on to the hips to get buoyancy.
