Competing In S.I. Titles The following have been selected to represent Canterbury at the South Island gymnastics championships to be held at Nelson on July 15 and 16:— Men’s championship: G. Hlseman (St. Andrew’s College). Youths’ championship: D. W. Goss (St. Andrew’s college), I. D. Henderson (St. Andrew’s College), D. A. Empson (Crichton Cobbers Gym.), R. R. Graham (St. Andrew’s College), A. D. McLoughlan (St. Andrew's College). Women’s championship: S. Buxton (Christchurch Gym Club). S. Claydon (Avonside G. Girls A championship: J. Buchanan (College Gym Club), L. Beazley (Hillmorton H. H. Johnston (Burnside H.S.), L. Blaikle (New Brighton School Gym. Club), L. Walmsley (New Brighton School Gym. Club), V. Hepburn (Christchurch G.H.S.). Emergency, C. Ryan (New Brighton School Gym. Club). Girls’ B championship: J. Deßeer (Christchurch Gym. Club), P. Blaikle (New Brighton School Gym. Club), J. Archer (New Brighton School Gym. Club), L. Boyce (Christchurch Gym. Club). Emergency. S. Walmsley (New Brighton School Gym. Club). The manager of the team is Mr K. O. Plunkett and the chaperon Miss B. Brosnan. The assistant manager and coach Is Mr C. A. R. Buchanan. The results of the women’s trials held at Teachers’ College gymnasium on Friday were: Women's grade: Miss S. Buxton. 58.9, 1; Miss S. Claydon, 56.85, 2. Girls’ A grade: J. Buchanan, 68.7, 1; L. Beazley, 66.2, 2: H. Johnston, 65.7, 3; L. Blaikie, 65.4, 4; L. Walmsley. 61.2, 5; V Hepburn, 59.6, 6; C. Ryan, 59.2, 7. Girls’ B grade: J. Deßeer. 65.9, 1; P. Blaikle, 64.2, 2; L. Boyce, 62.9, 3; J. Archer, 59.5, 4; S. Walmsley, 56. r, 5.
