TEAM FROM WALES

Visit To N.Z. Considered Mr W. J. Evans of South Wales, who has won two United Kingdom sheep dog trial championships, is planning to visit New Zealand with a team of five dogs in September, 1967. In a letter to the New Zealand Sheep Dog Trials Association, Mr W. E. Forbes, of Taranaki, said Mr Evans—for whom he was actingplanned to spend six months in the Dominion, and would give demonstrations with his team. A trip to the Sydney Royal Show at Easter, 1968, would be made on his return home. Mr Forbes’s letter said that before undertaking such a trip, Mr Evans would like to know whether he could expect any support from the New Zealand association. The letter was received, the president (Mr A. G. Stead) saying the association would need more details before committing itself.
