“Lucky Jim”
The 8.8. C. has bought the television right to “Lucky Jim,” the novel by Mr Kingsley Amis, and is planning a 13-part comedy series based on the “Lucky Jim” characters.
SO THEY SAY Television is not doing its job when it is a mere reflector, a reflector of the lazy wish to be comforted, reassured and assuaged, which is the most that most programmes offer. —T. C. Worsley.
