Study By Aust Minister <N.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 15 The Australian Federal Minister of Social Services (Mr I. M. Sinclair) is in Wellington for a quick look at some aspects of New Zealand social security administration. Accompanied by his wife, Mr Sinclair will visit the South Island before returning to Australia. A practising barrister turned farmer. Mr Sinclair is 87. ‘‘l’m one of three Federal Ministers the same age.” he said. “Older people generally are stepping down from politics in Australia.

“If you don’t get the young men in, you’re not as much in touch with the electorate as you should be.” Mr Sinclair has been In politics since 1961, when he was elected to the New South Wales Upper House. In 1963 he was elected to the Federal House of Representatives. He was appointed to his portfolio in January, 1964.
