LADY WILD HEARING
(H Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The Lady Wild doping case will be heard by the Wellington district committee of the Racing Conference on June 22 when the trainer. W. L. Aitken, of Bulls, will face a charge of failing to take proper precautions to prevent the administration of the drug, caffeine, to Lady Wild. The mare returned a positive urine test after winning the Strathmore Handicap at Trentham on May 7, the first day of the Wellington Racing Club's meeting.
Halcyon Back To Training (N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH. Last season’s leading juvenile. Halcyon, has resumed training with S. A. Brown at Woodville. Halcvon came to the track yesterday for light exercise. He is in great order after a ipeli of several months since his return from a disastrous Australian trip. His injured tendon, encased in fibreglass for three months, appears to be straight and sound, with comparatively nttle thickening being apparent Brown Is confident that he will stand a full preparation.
