Charge Hand Reinstated

A charge hand was yesterday reinstated at the engineering firm of Andersons, Ltd., said the secretary of the Canterbury Moulders’ Union (Mr S. Harris) yesterday. Mr Harris said that the management said that it regarded the man’s reinstatement as a reinstatement from suspension rather than from a dismissal.

The charge hand had been employed by the company for 17 years. MrHarris said that the executive of the Canterbury Trades Council of the Federation of Labour had earlier made representations to the company. ’ The matter was now settled, said Mr Harris.
