N.Z. Openers Out Early especial Crjpdt. N.Z.P.4J LYTHAM ST. ANNES, June 13. Rain stopped play on the •econd day of the New Zealand women’s cricket team’s match against North of England at Lytham St Annes today. Continuing its overnight •core of five for 98, North of England declared shortly before lunch and dismissed New Zealand's opening pair, J. Doull and J. Stomell, both lbw, within minutes. P. Three New Zealand players are unavailable for the match because of muscle injuries. They were B. Maker, C. Moore •nd C. Oyler. The team suffered another setback when the fast bowler, W. Coe, tripped on some stairs, injuring her knee badly. Scores:—New Zealand 99 •nd four for 27 (T. Blackler 18, J. Stead seven not out); North of England eight for 140 declared (B. Rothera 41 not out. J. Burley three for 45, ,T. Saulbrey three for 27, P. Blackler one for 41). |
