Ladbrooks
Sir, —Shingle trucks once again! The Ladbrooks end of the Broadfield riding is the forgotten area when it comes to getting anything done to the roads—except dumping loose shingle and posting out the rate demands. It is time the Ladbrooks end of Robinsons road had some of its rate money spent on it, and not treated as the roadway to other areas.—Yours, etc., RATEPAYER.
June 1, 1966. [The chairman of the Paparua County Council (Mr D. H. Warren) replies: “The correspondent will be pleased to know that a sum of £3OOO has been provided in the current year’s estimates for the straightening of the bends in Robinsons road near its intersection with Ellesmere road preparatory to sealing.”]
