Oamaru Earthquake
Sir, —On Thursday, June 9, at 8.30 p.m. Oamaru was shaken by a short, “explosive” type of earthquake which appears to have been purely local. I would be grateful if any of your readers who may have felt this earthquake, especially in South Canterbury, would communicate with me.—Yours, etc., J. A.
